Super quick post.
The latest attempt at a few low-cal days didn't have as good results as the last, but oh well.
And
today I went to dinner with my dad's side of the fam. Just the standard
buffet dinner at Mandarin and then going to my Oma's after for snacks
and small talk. It's amazing how doing so little can make you so sleepy.
So, looks like I'll just be chilling in my room til bed time and then Christmas tomorrow. Yay! : )

Tue. December 17
Gonna go for another few low-cal days.
I've been off work for the last 6 days and have eaten pretty poorly. I haven't weighed myself in those 6 days, but I don't expect a good number. So, since I have work for the next 4 days straight, I figure it'd probably be best to try and go low-cal for those days. Not sure if I'll make it meatless as well, but I'll give that a try too. And, despite a day old shoulder tattoo, I was able to get a good, long work out in tonight. : )
Anyway, bed time for me. Wish me luck over the next few days.
P.S. - I'm really looking forward to my family's XMas dinner at the Mandarin buffet on the 24th, but for some reason, the one food item I'm really looking forward to is the steamed rice with soy sauce. I only just found out they have soy sauce by the sushi display and when I went with work last month, I had like 2 helpings. I've been craving rice a lot lately, but haven't really had much. Maybe this will quiet my craving for a while. lol

Well, I did it.
After 3 days of meatless, low-cal eating and going to the gym each day, I'm down 6lbs. I doubt there were any inches lost, but I physically feel better. I might need to make this a regular occurrence. Or do a few days carb free or something. I'll see. Also, I didn't get to the gym today, but I just did 50 squats and 10 wall push ups. Better than nothing. : )

Sun. Dec 8
Gonna give something a try this week.
I'm gonna have a few low-cal, meatless days in a row (Mon-Wed). I work 8 hours on all 3 days, which means I won't be able to snack all day. I'll also be hitting the gym after work for all 3 days, so I'm kinda hoping this'll jump start something. Now, the meatless aspect of this is not the main idea. It's just that when I do low-cal days, they consist of eating things like veggies, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt. So, I thought why not add a little extra challenge and see what a few days without meat will do. Just for fun.
K, that's all I got. I'll let you know how things played out and if I was able to stick with it.

Another overdue update. I know, I know. Sorry. I'll try to keep this brief.
Ok, so, I don't think I told you guys that the battery for the watch portion of my heart rate monitor died. Well, it did, so for a while I was kinda "going in blind" when I did my work outs. I know some calories burned is better than no calories burned and lots of people lose weight without heart rate monitors, but since I've started using it, I really like knowing and I find it helps me to push myself when I can see that my heart rate isn't as fast as it should be.
So, ya, finally got a new battery and then got back to it. 2 weeks ago, I went to the gym for 4 days in a row. Last week, another 4 days. This week, I've already gone once. Gonna go tomorrow after work and then try for Thursday as well. I've also kinda switched things up a bit. I'm been using hand weights more; for bench presses, for squats, and for overall arm strength. I've upped the weights recently too, so that makes me feel good. And strong, of course. lol
Also, my weight is starting to come down a bit slowly. It's not much but it's something. And I was able to ALMOST have a pre-planned low calorie day. I had planned to have an all cereal day. Basically, a cup of cereal and a cup of milk 4 times in a day. However, that would equal about 1140 cals and I know you need like 1200 just for your body to function, so I added a couple apples to the mix. The only unplanned thing I ended adding to the plan was a McRib patty (which was about 300+ cals), so no biggie and it's too much to type to explain the situation. I think it went well though, and I'm hoping to do a cereal/yogurt day tomorrow. :)
K, one last update. I went shopping today a bought a couple nice looking plaid button up shirts. They were L's, but Old Navy L's (which tend to run larger than the actual size), but I didn't really care about the size, I was just happy cuz I'd been looking for nice plaid shirts for a while and happy that I looked good in them. So, I decided to wear one out to dinner and a movie tonight and wanted to pair it with this skirt I hadn't worn in a while. The last time I tried the skirt on, it didn't really fit nicely, so I figured that would be the case today and I'd have to wear something else. Well, it fit. I mean it's still not as "comfortable" as I'd like it to be, but it was absolutely wearable and I thought I looked pretty damn good. Sorry I don't have a pic, but you can take my word for it. ;)
Alright, well, that was a little longer than I thought it would be, but I guess that's what happens when I wait so long to post. Will try to be more diligent in the future. Later taters.

Time for a SUUUUUPER overdue update.
Where to begin? Well, I healed/am still healing from my eye surgery, but I'm on schedule with it. Vision is still pretty blah, but that's to be expected for a few months. I have an appointment tomorrow (4 weeks post-op) and I expect that to go well. And hopefully they'll tell me when I can think about getting my other eye done.
Next, my family vacation to Florida has been "postponed". And by that I mean, it's pretty much cancelled and we'll try again next year around this time. My dad crunched the numbers and between family things and paying for things for my nephew, it's just not in the cards right now. I'll admit, I'm kinda bummed. Even though I just had 2 weeks off from work, I was already looking forward to not having to be there for another few weeks. But I wasn't as excited as I usually am before a trip like this. And the surgery left me with a pretty decent amount of debt that I want to pay off ASAP. On top of that, I'm too fat to be going away right now.
I guess that'll bring me to my next update. I don't know that exact dates, but I pretty much didn't go to the gym for like a month (minus one little trip in the middle). I put on about 8-ish lbs in that time, so now I get to re-add that number to amount I still need to lose. And that little gain has put me back over one of the numbers I told myself I'd never see on the scale again (unless I was pregnant). I finally did get back to the gym last week. I went 4 times and I have plans to go another 4 times this week (already went once). But, of course, all the running and squatting in the world is not gonna make up for the fact that I still eat like crap. How many times do I tell myself I'll get a soup or salad when I go out, and then that pulled pork sandwich looks so good or I just really have a craving for pizza? I just... I don't even have a good excuse. Ya, I'll just leave this alone for now for fear of whining or turning this post into a novel.
So, anyway, that's it for now. Time to get working on my Halloween costume and pray for minimal back fat.

Got a few new tats, thought I'd share.
