Sat. March 30

Well, I saw that coming.

I was up a couple pounds yesterday morning, but I tried not to let it bother me. I also didn't get in a little work out before work. I just decided to make it something of a rest day.

So, this morning, I weighed myself with my friend's scale. I weighed myself 3 times and got 2 different results. His seems to be less finicky than mine. Or maybe his floor is a little more level. lol. Either way, the two same results that I got were .2lbs lower than what I was a couple days ago and my fat percentage and actual pounds of fat seem to be down a bit.

I went out today to try to find a nice, fashionably bag short for me to wear to Mandarin tomorrow, but no luck. Everything is either too short or too sheer or too tight still. Blah. Oh well, worst case scenario, I'll just bust out my heavy duty Spanx and wear a slightly looser top.

Also, by this time next week, I'll be getting ready to head out for my BDay party. Last I knew, my dress is looking a little better, but I'll still have to see how things turn out. I'm working 4-midnight Mon-Thu, so the plan is to treadmill before work and gym after work every day. All I need to do is pick up some healthy stuff for lunches and snacks at work.

That's all for now. Hope I don't overdo it tomorrow, but no promises. I'm just super excited to wear a pair of my new Abbey Dawn shoes. haha

Thu. March 28

Where Was This Determination When I Was Gonna Go To Cuba?! Que sera, sera.

Anyway, I was worried this morning that I would be up a bit, but I wasn't. Down another pound. But now I'm worried that I'll be up tomorrow. I realize it wouldn't be the end of the world and I shouldn't feel bad since I've lost like 6 or so lbs in about a week and a half. I just know that eventually I'll hit a little plateau or put a little weight back on. I can even argue that I furthermore shouldn't care cuz it's inches and health that matter more than the numbers on a scale. But I'll see.

My eating was pretty good today, but I had a couple chicken strips and a 340cal piece of cheesecake when I got home from work. I know I burned at least 2100+ cals though. I'm now literally sitting here, thinking about exactly what I ate today and if I've created enough for a calorie deficit. Well, I won't know until I wake up. So, water for the rest of the night and then wish me luck.

3.6lbs to go, 11 days to go.  (This feels so do-able.)

Oh, PS - I have decided what I want to "treat" myself to for my BDay. I'm gonna buy a VIP meet and greet package to meet Ke$ha in June. And Lord knows I will not meet Ke$ha as a fattie. lol. So, I have my motivation for after my BDay. : )

Tue. March 26

2nd blog post in 16 hours.

Ok, so, cuz I was finished work at 6:30 last night, I decided to go to the gym. And cuz I don't have work til 7pm today, I figured I'd go again before work. I was sorta worried that my heart rate wouldn't get up high enough during my work out today cuz I've sometimes found that it seems like I burn a lot less calories cuz I haven't had enough time to rest/recover. But that didn't seem to be an issue today. :)

Also, I bought a package of baby spinach and arugula and tried to saute a bit of it with garlic and XV olive oil. It was kinda meh, so I added a bit of garlic salt and it was a bit better, but I figured it would be an acquired taste. So, when I made a banana protein shake today, I added a handful of the spinach mix to see how it would turn out. I had to blend it a little longer to make sure all the pieces were, but it actually turned out ok. Looks like I've found a way to incorporate spinach into my diet. : ) And, according to the spinach mix package, 2 cups of the mix is only 20 calories. So awesome!

What else? Oh, I've been thinking that maybe I should start watching The Biggest Loser. I'm generally not a fan of most reality shows, but I liked the shows X-Weighted and Bulging Brides and they were about weight loss. I'm mainly just thinking of watching in the hopes that there'll be some good tips I can use in my work outs. As far as I can tell, the most recent season is over, but maybe I'll stream or download some episodes or something. I'll see.

The only other thing to report right now is that I think I'm down like .8lbs for yesterday. I say think cuz I find some parts of the floor in my bedroom seem a little uneven. I weighed myself at like 6 different places and got 5 different results. I pulled the battery and tried again and got the same result twice, so I'm gonna assume that number was correct. lol

Well, that's it for now. Just gonna chill out before work, maybe clean up my room a bit, bring healthy food to work and hope for at least a little weight loss for tomorrow. 5.4lbs to go, 13 days til my BDay.

Mon. March 25

Gonna have another random thought blog, cuz I do have some things I wanna talk about, but can't be very eloquent right now. lol

- Can't exactly remember what I weighed on Saturday morning, but the weight that I was this morning was either the same or maybe .2lbs down. So, that's good.

- My dad picked up a few chocolate goodies for me and I kinda want to eat them, but I keep putting it off til later. Which is good, just a little odd for me. haha

- I have a bunch of garlic that I'd like to try and use before it goes bad. I'm thinking of making some really garlic-y spinach. Now, I'm not a fan or spinach at all, but maybe with the right seasoning, it can be tolerable and still healthy.

- The last few mornings I've woken up feeling pretty good and kinda "skinny". I realize I still have lots of fat to lose, but I just feel thin...for a bit, and then I have breakfast. lol

- I'm not sure if I'll be able to do the CN Tower stair climb this year. Not cuz of training or being ill-prepared, just cuz I need to fundraise like $70 and I doubt I'll be able to. Maybe next year though. Still gonna try for a couple 5Ks though.

- I'm going to Mandarin on Easter for dinner and I'm both excited and worried. Obviously, I love the idea of being able to eat all kinds of yummy food, but I'm a little worried about the amount of calories and fat and stuff I'll consume that day. However, I know one bad meal isn't going to spoil everything and, considering how my stomach's be reacting lately, I kinda doubt it'll let me fill it up too much.

- Considering how stressed out planning my BDay party is making me, I'm pleasantly surprised that I haven't been binging on junk food.

Fri. March 22

I feel confident that I've done pretty well this past week.

So, I weighed myself on Wed and Thu morning (like usual), had breakfast and then worked out (Wed - treadmill, Thu - gym), showered, and then weighed myself again and on both days, I was down like a pound. So, when I tried that today, of course, I was up a pound, but overall, I've dropped a least a few pounds this week. Can't be too mad about that. Also, it looks like my fat percentage and the actual weight of my fat has dropped as well. Who'd have thought that cutting back on calories, eating better food and working out would do that. right? lol

On another note, and without giving away TMI, I had some complimentary chips and salsa and a steak quesadilla at a restaurant yesterday and a couple hours later, I was feeling painfully bloated. That's how used to actual food that my body's gotten over the last few days. Immediately after that same meal, I felt a little sick to my stomach, but just over the amount of food. I think my stomach might have shrunk cuz of smaller portions this week as well.

Well, that's all the good news I have at the moment. Gonna try to do well this weekend and go to the gym as often as I can next week cuz my work schedule is a little odd. 7lbs left to lose in 17 days to put me at the same weight I was for my BDay last year.

PS. - I love celery, but hate how quickly it goes bad and floppy. : (

Can't remember if I've shared this before, but it makes me smile. lol

Tue. March 19

My friend's scale came! More on that later. lol

I was up like 2lbs this morning. I wasn't expecting it, but I also wasn't surprised for some reason. I was pissed though. 2 steps forward, 1 F-ing step back. God damn. Anyway, after that, I had some breakfast and headed right for the gym. My dad kept offering to drive me, so I kinda took advantage of the offer and had him drive me to the WalMart right beside it so I could pick up some healthy groceries and then he could take them back home while I went to the gym.

I did my almost usual work out. Burned 700+ cals (sorry, don't have my montior on me for the exact number) in 1h14m. Went back to WalMart on my way home and picked up 2 containers of yogurt, a meduim (woo hoo!) pair of yoga pants and pretty snazzy blazer.

After I got home, cleaned up and played with my nephew a bit, I went to hang out with my friend. I set up 2 user profiles on his scale (one for me, one for him) with age, height and gender. The weight seemed fairly accurate to what my scale said and it told me I seem to have 38.7% body fat. As far as I've heard, that's in the overweight range. I mean, duh. I could've told you I was overweight, but it's nice to have a number to start from so I can see my percentage go down even if my weight is the same.

So, ya, that's all for now. Gonna spend the next few days eating as good as I can, gonna use my treadmill before work tomorrow, and then to go the gym on Thu and Fri. I thought about wearing my blazer over my BDay dress to hide my back fat, but I feel like that would be a bit of a cop out and I would get way too sweaty. lol

Mon. March 18

I'm not even sure what to say right now.

It's not like I have nothing to say, I just don't fee super eloquent right now. So, I'll stick to the basics.
Got down a couple lbs over the weekend, so I'm now it a different weight bracket and my new mini goal is to get down 9.8lbs in 21 days. I just tried on the dress I wanna wear to my BDay party and it zipped up (which is nice, but it could've zippered up last time, but the zipper is just at a weird angle and it's kind of hit and miss as to whether I can get it up), but I still have fat where there shouldn't be. So, hopefully I can make a dent in that issue.

Also, this weekend (I won't go into details but) I got pretty pissed about something that happened and, after some fuming, I thought "I should really run this off." I didn't think about stuffing my face or whatever, I thought I should work out my aggression. I ended up not, but I didn't pig out either, so that's probably good.
 
Anyway, I have Tue, Thu and Fri off this week. I can totally see myself getting to the gym on each of those days, but I'm debating if I should go today after work. I'll have to see cuz it may potentially be a long night and if I'm tired and just gonna be going tomorrow morning, maybe I shouldn't. I'll see.

Oh, also, the battery on my heart rate monitor died last week and I ordered some new batteries and they just came today, so I feel whole again. lol

Especially weighted ones. Holy Jeez.

Tue. March 12

So, today didn't really go as expected.

Was kinda planning to go to the gym since it's my only weekday off, but then I sorta ended up babysitting my nephew. And if I had gone to the gym, I would've had to kinda rush cuz I was gonna see a movie with a friend after. That ended up not happening either cuz my friend hurt his ankle reeeeeally. So, I kinda spent the day just sitting around on my laptop and playing with my nephew when he wasn't napping and eating junk food. And I would've gone to the gym after Snooki and JWoww tonight, but apparently my gym is closed 11pm-7am cuz of construction. So, that's the first part of my story.

Secondly, just out of curiosity, I decided to try on a dress I have that I want to wear for my BDay party and then a back up dress. The Back p dress looks alright, but I'm nowhere near looking good in my main dress. That seemed to light a fire under my ass and I did some very brisk walking on my treadmill for 60 mins (burning 657 cals) at like 11:30pm. I almost put my pretty decent sized goodie stash into a box and duct taped it up, but I didn't wanna go looking for a box. Maybe tomorrow. lol

Ok, so tomorrow's plan is wake up, treadmill, work, work out and have my food be almost only (if not completely) oatmeal and veggies. Wish me luck. Time for some F-ing results. No more dicking around.

Mon. March 11

Quick little update before work.

So, this weekend was garbage food-wise. Between Friday Sunday nights, I only had 4 “proper” meals. Any other meal was just snacking on honey roasted peanuts and chocolate covered almonds. I’m honestly surprised that I didn’t feel worse and don’t feel too bad today.

I did do something sorta interesting this weekend though. I saw a pic (which I posted on my tumblr account) of a girl who wore her heart rate monitor (the exact same one I have) for 24 hours. She didn’t work out or do anything strenuous, just slept, went to class and studied. She burned 2500 in that time. Her point was to prove that you can’t sustain yourself on super low cal diets cuz your body goes through that many cals by itself without exercise. So, I did the same thing and I apparently went though 2822 in 24 hours. Most of this time was spent sleeping or just laying around in bed. I did pop into a WalMart and Bulk Barn with a friend, but I would not consider my day a strenuous day by any means. I may do this again one day in the near future, just to get an average/general number of calories I burn on a restful day.

Anyway, that’s it for now. Just gonna chill out a bit more before I head off to work. Later.

PS. - It’s exactly 4 weeks till ma BDay. lol

Mon. March 4

Yet another "it's late and I'm tired" posts, but here we go.

Finally got back to the gym today after work. I didn't push myself to make it to 1000 cals. Just wanted to see how bad my endurance and strength may have declined. However, it seems like everything is about the same. When I did my benching, I was able to do 4 sets of 8 reps of 125lbs with pretty decent ease. So, I think it'll be time to up my weights next time. Eating wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either and before the gym, I went to WalMart and picked up some fruits and veg and yogurt. So, that has me a little excited for this week. I'm also gonna try to not overdo it this week, work out wise. I'm thinking tomorrow will be a rest day, then go again on Wed and probably Thu. It would be nice to get there on Fri, but that would mean going before work and I'm already not going to enjoy work on Friday, so I'd prefer to be well rested. But we'll see.

Anyway, here's my calories burned break down...

Walking to work - 162
Work - 1206
Walking home - 131
Walking to the gym - 203
Work out - 641
Walking home - 187

2530. Can't complain. Also, I just wanted to share my cals burned from my last couple days of work last week. Thursday was 1807 and Friday was 1944 (both in just over 8 hours). So, don't tell me my job isn't stressful and that I don't bust my ass.
