So, I finally got my schedule for next week for work this afternoon (shoulda been out on Wed or Thu) and, if I can be diligent enough, I could potentially get to the gym like 4 times next week and get 3 pre-work work outs done on top of that. I'll see what I'm up for, but I'd really like to find the determination and motivation to follow through. Guess we'll find out...

If only I could follow that advice.

I wanted to make today mostly a veggies day, but clearly that didn't happen.We had a "treat day" at work and then I got off work so late that the options for food were kinda limited.

However, I did get a decent-ish work out before work. I did 55 mins on the treadmill and about 70% of that was running. :)

So, I was gonna go to the gym, but a friend asked me to dinner and then I got caught up with other things and by the time I would've been able to go, I was pretty tired. So I just went home and to bed.

As for the 2 desserts, my friend and I split one at dinner and then we were requested to bring some ice cream back to his place, so we got some for ourselves as well.

So, the day started pretty well, but obviously kinda got worse as it progressed. I was able to do about 30 mins of running/brisk walking before work though. Got nice and sweaty and it felt good. :)

Anyway, I have another shift tomorrow that'll make it easier to get to the gym after work, so that's what I shall do. :)

I love this idea. I wanna do it.

Fairly decent day, if I do say so myself. :)

I also spent close to 2 hours at the gym, I bench pressed 70lbs, picked up some fruits and veggies at Walmart afterward. I wanted to get up early and do a class at the gym, but I'm still kinda tired from this morning. So, I doubt I'll make it. I'll just stay in bed and sleep off a couple pounds. lol

I'd like to make these one day.

So, I started the endeavor to try to guilt and shame myself into eating better. But, as of late, I've just been eating what I want and feeling even more guilt and shame about having to share it. I also haven't been gyming as much as I'd like. Now the gym I go to is 24 hours from 6am Monday - 9pm Friday. So, there's not many excuses I could make there, but if I couldn't make it there, for whatever reason, I have a treadmill at home. And I have definitely used it, but probably not as much as I could. I also have a Shake Weight which, laugh if you will, I have used in the past and had seen a difference. It also only takes 6 mins for the "work out" but it's gone for a couple months untouched. And, failing all those options, I can always still get on the floor and do a bunch of sit ups and push up and various other core exercises. But I don't, and I think it's time to refocus yet again.

 I've been browsing some other weight loss blogs and a couple girls I've seen have posted a pic of a calendar at the end of the month and shown how many days of the month they've gone to the gym and, for the most part, it was like 80% or more. I'd like to be able to do that. I've told myself I'd like to try to get to the gym at least a couple times a week and try to not go more than 5 days between visits. That really hasn't happened recently; partly cuz of work and partly cuz I'm otherwise engaged on the weekends. I realize those are excuses too, but that's just the way it is. However, you can only go up from here. This coming week's work schedule looks like it'll give me more opportunities to get to the gym. Even if it's just for like 45 mins to use a handful of weight machines. I'd still like to go to one of the fitness classes, so maybe I'll consult the gym schedule and see what I'll be able to make it to.

Small meal in the morning. Large meal in the middle of the day. Small meal at night. Probably not the best idea, but at least I didn't snack on chocolate. However, that's only cuz I'm not home for the next couple days.

Cake I made in Feb '11. It's rice krispie treats inside instead of actual cake. Not very healthy, but it looked good. :)

I was able to get to the gym before work today. This isn't something I would normally do cuz I like to sleep late and then I don't like to feel like I'm pressed for time before I *have* to be somewhere, which is why I like to work out after work. However, today I had to go to the mall and my dad dropped me off on his way to work (at noon), so I figured I'd bring my clothes and see if I had enough time to go and have a decent work out and I did. I just did about 50 mins of weight machines and then walked home, but it was pretty good. I might have to consider doing this again. This might even be the kick in the pants I need to go to one of the noon-ish fitness classes my gym offers. We shall see.

I dunno why I keep apologizing for what I eat. I know it's bad. Everyone can see how bad my choices are. No one's eating it but me. It's my fault and I'm the one who has to deal with my fat ass in the long run. *sigh* I dunno when I'm gonna be able to get my shit together.

Anyway, I think I perfected my banana "muffin" recipe...
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 banana
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
2 Equal sweetener packets
A few dashes of cinnamon
(I also usually toss in a little Benefiber, just cuz)

I haven't done the math on how much each muffin potentially is calorie wise, but it's more about the low carbs than the calories. I'd still like to know for myself though.

So, I was gonna go to the gym tonight. I swear. I had my clothes and everything with me at work, but for the last couple hours of my shift, I had really painful bloating. So, I decided to go home and just do some light activities that didn't hurt too bad, but that didn't happen. :/

Also, I want to try a little experiment. I did the math on how much it costs me to buy food at the grocery store and bring it to work and it looks like it might be cheaper to just buy food at work. Only small sandwiches though. No fries and I don't drink pop anyway, so none of that either. I'll probably bring a small snack too, like fruit or something, just in case the sandwich isn't enough. So, I wanna see if this ends up being a little cheaper in the long run and if the smaller calorie meal helps at all. We shall see.

The pay cheque will be awesome, but the time spent when I could be sleeping or working out or hanging with friends kinda sucks. lol.

Yep, I suck. Everything I ate after the orange was eaten after I came home from the gym. Hopefully I'll break even, but we'll see. I just had one of those moments when I want what I want when I want it and I ate it and that's it. :/

FML. I almost can't see myself reaching my next weight goal this month. However, I have a solid 40-hour work week next week. It might be just what I need to help me get back on track. Here's hoping.

Anyway, I'm gonna get all comfy in bed and pray I sleep off 5lbs. hahaha

I finally went to the gym today. In my mind, I thought it had only been a few days since I'd been, but in actual fact, I hadn't been since April 1st. So, I'm going to try to make it a goal/condition that I won't go more than 4 days without going to the gym, if possible. That doesn't mean I'm gonna go and spend like 2 hours and bust my ass every time, but as long as I go and can just use a few weight machines, I'll feel like that's an accomplishment. I'm also paying for this membership, so I should really be making sure I'm getting my money's worth. Also, I really need to start taking the initiative to be more active at home. Just doing simple things like push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks and really making the most of my treadmill. Really gotta work on this.

Interesting. I'd like to make something like this one day.

Mon. April 9

- 3/8 of a small pep and bacon pizza
- Small piece of white cake
- 8 perogies, pan fried in olive oil
- Very small piece of banana cake*
- Very small piece of milk chocolate
- Blueberry muffin (Tim Horton's)
- Beef Mr.Noodle, almost no liquid
- Kinder egg
- 4 small Reese eggs

*No fuss, 3 ingredient banana cake
- 1 banana
- 2 eggs
- 2 scoops of protein powder

Mix everything together in a food processor. Cook for 20 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius (430 degrees F) or until lightly brown on top.

Not a good day, I know. I also didn't get to the gym cuz I slept way late, but I did walk to Walmart in the morning and walked from my friend's place to The Mod Club downtown. I'll gym tomorrow though, promise.

So, I'm pretty tired right now, but I just wanna talk a bit about something I've been wanting to talk about for a while: sugar. This isn't gonna be some informative rant or anything, just how I find sugar affects me. First off, anything really rich and/or sugary tends to hurt my teeth. I have sensitive teeth to begin with and this can definitely be annoying, bordering on painful. Then, once it's in my stomach, I can only deal with various amounts of various things at a time. For example, I can usually deal with like ice cream, chocolate and gummies in large amounts, but stuff like store bought cakes, sugary drink mixers and stuff like that tends to turn my stomach kinda quickly. And that's what's been happening in the last couple years. I guess it's good though. I figure it means my body isn't used to copious amounts of sugar anymore and it'll keep me from overdoing it on that kind of stuff. Good job, body. Good job.

Sun. April 8

It's ma birfday! lol
Also, happy Easter everyone.

So, I went to Mandarin for dinner today. I could probably sit here for a bit and itemize every little thing I ate, but I'd rather not. So, I'll just give a general idea of what I had...

- 3 small spring rolls, small piece of pizza, garlic broccoli, a bit of noodles, prime rib, a few onion rings, chicken ball, small portions of various meats (spicy and not), half a Belgian waffle w/syrup, powdered sugar and whipped cream, several small pastries

I believe that's the jist of it. I went to my Oma's afterward and there I had a small piece of white cake, a small piece of chocolate cake and 1 chocolate egg. I've also had a lot of water today.

Anywho, I have a plan for tomorrow. I'm gonna wake up when my friend gets up (around 6-ish) and when he heads out for work, I'm gonna walk from his place to Walmart (20 mins) and take advantage of the half priced Easter chocolate. Yes, I realize that's counter productive, but it's a good price and it'll last for months. I'll also probably pick up a couple things for my parents and I'll pick up some veggies or something too.
From there, I'll head home, go to sleep and when I wake up, go to the gym. After that, come home, clean up and then eventually head downtown to a friend's place to pick up my make up that I forgot at her place last night. *face palm* After that, I'll walk to a downtown concert venue (45 mins) and watch the concert for which I have tickets for.

So, ya, that's how I'd like my day to go, but we shall see. On a side note, I've decided that since the tattoo shop I go to is having a piercing deal this month, if I can get down to my next goal weight, I want to take advantage of that and get multiple navel piercings. :)

- Lots of water

So, I had my BDay party last night. Barely got drunk at all, but was still able to enjoy the evening. I haven't weigh myself today. I don't expect it to be too bad, but I won't be surprised if I'm up a bit. Doesn't really matter though cuz we're going to Mandarin today and I'm just gonna eat what I wanna eat. lol

I'm friggen tired, so I'm getting to bed. On a side note, it's my BDay weekend now, so I'm gonna try to eat whatever I want as guilt free as possible. :)

So, I was not in a good mood today cuz I reeeeally didn't want to go to work today. I also couldn't find out if my gym was gonna be open all night cuz it's Good Friday tomorrow, so I decided to not go and just use the treadmill when I got home. Well, I didn't do that either. I think it's safe to say I won't be reaching my goal for my BDay, but at least I've lost several pounds in the last little while. And as long as I don't have a large meal before going out, I'll still probably look pretty decent in my dress. Just gotta try to be good-ish for the next day or so.

So, I ran a bunch of errands today, one of which was looking for a dress to wear to my BDay party. I ended up at Urban Behavior, not expecting to find much. However, I came across 3 dresses I liked and tried each on. All of them were L's, so I wasn't expecting much luck, but 2 of them ended up fitting pretty well and since they were $16.99 each and I had given myself a $30 limit, I decided to splurge a little and picked up both. I was also almost in tears in the change room cuz I was so happy about being able to fit into stuff I probably couldn't wear several months ago. :)

I also donated blood today. After I bought the dresses, I really felt like going to the gym, just to tighten things up a little before the weekend. But I was advised to do anything strenuous or any heavy lifting. Since I had a concert tonight, I decided to just have a light snack and lots of water when I get home (which I did) and I'll go to the gym tomorrow night.

After this incident, it kinda re-enforces the idea that we should focus more on inches rather than pounds. I'm still gonna gauge things by weight cuz I know I probably haven't put much muscle mass on in this short time, but I have seen some definite changes in how my clothes fit and just how I look with not much weight loss. Perhaps I'll have to change my thinking soon.

Yup, I had a bad day. Yup, I feel bad about it. Yup, I'll do better tomorrow. I just kinda let myself go and today, I feel guilty. It almost felt like I couldn't stop myself at times. I'm blaming boredom, tiredness and pain. That's also my excuse for not getting much exercise today. All I can do now is get a good night's sleep and hope for not a lot of weight gain tomorrow.

Ya, I was bad today and it tasted good and I have next to no guilt about it. I worked out hard today and I needed that. I was able to do an 11:06 minute mile; I think I was gonna die and it felt good afterward. lol

I'm gonna be hanging out with a friend in Toronto tomorrow, and assuming the weather's decent and I feel like, I'm thinking I might walk home from Kipling subway station as opposed to taking a bus (about a 2 hour walk). We'll see.

Sun. April 1

- Prime Rib Loaded Potato skillet w/broccoli, bacon and cheese sauce (Denny's)
- Strawberry Banana smoothie (Denny's)
- 8 oz steak (Montana's)
- Steamed carrots and broccoli (Montana's)
- Fried onions (Montana's)
- Fried cheesecake (Montana's)
- A few handfuls of green grapes
- A bunch of water

I just went for it today. Everything that I ate was really delicious and I needed it. I'll be going to the gym tomorrow though and make sure I burn a lot of it off. I'm thinking about doing an hour on the elliptical (which I normally do on my longer gym days), but I feel like I wanna try to improve the time it takes me to run and mile, and then just keep running til I'm too tired to continue. However, to do that, I'll need a really good night's sleep. And since I only got like 3 hours sleep last night, I'm gonna be getting into bed now; just after 11pm and sleep til I can't sleep no more. Night all.

This is me, several Easter's ago and probably the thinnest I've been in years, I hope to get back her soon.




Sat. March 31

- 2 bowls of Corn Flakes w/4 packets of Equal sweetener total
- 2 small sized pork tenderloins
- Crystal Light in water
- Large bowl of mashed potatoes w/ground beef in tomato sauce and peas
- Small (21g) Kinder chocolate bar
- 3 bite sized chocolate cupcakes
- 3 bite sized vanilla cupcakes

So, ya, not my best day. I was actually thinking of making today a cheat day, but I figure I'll have the next couple days to be bad. It's also kind of embarrassing having to admit how much I could potentially eat. Maybe I should just have one small cheat a day for the next few days.

Anywho, it's really gonna be crunch time this week; 8 days til my BDay, 7 days til my party. And, in some cruel joke, cuz my BDay is on Easter, my family and I will be going to Mandarin. So, I feel like it'll be a one meal kind of day. Also, I'm planning to go to Walmart bright and early the next day to score some half priced Easter chocolate to replenish my hoard a bit. Just a bit, I swear. lol

On a side note, just after I mentioned maybe doing a 10k, I found out there's a 10k happening in Toronto on April 22nd. I highly doubt I'll do it, but I'll definitely be looking into it.

I want a pair of these.
